Coloured stones guide kids through Pirna’s town centre

On the coloured stone paths, children and families can go on a fascinating discovery tour through Pirna’s old town. The splashes of colour on the cobbles as well as various other places and footpaths all lead to interesting, family-friendly spots and the unique (hi)story playgrounds. Here elements out of (sand)stone and other natural materials offer a place and space for experiencing the town’s history and stories. Info. plaques present interesting information for young and old alike. For the best experience start the discovery tour with the kids’ town map.

Pirna’s playgrounds

„Steinladeplatz“

In the park by the river Elbe, next to the Elbe cycle path, everything revolves around the theme of water and shipping.

Thälmannplatz

In the green area, numerous play islands and a skate park invite children to play and romp.

„Hohe Brücken“

Bridges are the subject of the Jagdschloss Graupa park, also the site of the Wagner museum and memorial.

„Seilerei“

Once the site of a rope manufactory, the play equipment of this playground is inspired by rope making.
