Family pass of the City of Pirna and the Free State of Saxony

The family pass of the City of Pirna is intended to contribute to making the City of Pirna more family and child friendly. With it, families receive numerous benefits. Only residents of the City of Pirna are eligible to apply.

 

The exact regulations can be found in the family pass guidelines of the City of Pirna under the heading "Local law" in the section "Child, Youth and Family Assistance". (exclusively in german language)

Discounts with the family pass

The family pass of the City of Pirna entitles its holder to the following benefits:
 

  • 50% discount on entrance fees to the Geibeltbad swimming pool (outdoor pool only)
  • Free admission to the Pirna City Museum, the Pirna library and the Richard Wagner Sites Graupa
  • Free issuance of children's passports
  • 50% discount on entrance fees for the public tours of the Old Town and Sonnenstein

In addition, there is the Family pass of the Free State of Saxony which offers further benefits for families.

Eligibility for the family pass

The following are eligible for a family pass of the City of Pirna or the Free State of Saxony:

  • Families with three or more children entitled to child benefits who live in a domestic community
  • Single parents with two or more children entitled to child benefits who live in a domestic community
  • Families or single parents with a child entitled to child benefit who is severely disabled and has at least a 50% reduction in earning capacity

Applying for the family pass

Both family passes can be applied for at the Pirna city administration. For this purpose, you must bring the following documents:

  • Certificate from the Familienkasse Sachsen or other corresponding proof of the children entitled to child benefits
  • for families with a severely disabled child, the severely disabled person's ID card

The family pass is income-independent, i.e. there is no examination of income and financial circumstances. To apply for a partial family pass, a passport photo is required for each partial pass. After the validity expires, eligibility must be redetermined by the municipality of Pirna and marked in the family pass.
